We've visited Pala this morning, a primary and secondary school really near to where we stay at Karibuni. We had to introduce ourselves to 6-700 students, and I played my norway card and said I'm used to snow and glaciers and that I was struggling in the heat. (Which is true, really). Michael who works at Whitley bay school brought presents from his students to the kids at Pala, and we've just had an absolute ball with balloons, bouncy balls and soap bubbles. It strange how excited a colourful balloon make a child, but my camera bag worth thousands of pounds is left untouched.
