Who will liberate we beggars? boniface Apr 16
Ever wondered why we are so depressed about certain habits and yet we do very little to overcome them? How for example a smoker hates to smoke but still spare time to have 'just this very last smoke'.When and how for example will we ever overcome our continual reliance on external intervention to all our internal problems? The perpetual begger that I am,when will my wishes become horses so that I can ride like the rest? The more I convince myself that I will stand on my feet and forge ahead is the more my other part in me reminds me that the sacrifice would be too much.It would kill me.How true is that? The government and the donors promised me this and that but alas! If all the governments could solve our problems we would not need to vote in new leaders every now and then. How helpless this have made us beggars. We have become pawns in their political chess games.I beg because I have been brought in that kind of system and the mainstreaming thinking.I beg because my type of leader who believes he is 'my liberator' would have nothing to do if I learned to be free.Free from my own mental slavery.Free from the trap that I have set for myself. We must rise and rise fast. The youthful beggars, we must quickly stand up and be addressed. We will only be heard when we confront our leaders with strategic issues and facts. We must pause and remember those childhood dreams we had on the hard cold pavement down the street. You wanted to be a lawyer while she wanted to be a pilot. What happened along the way? Arise.A new day is here.In this new day we have a dream.
