Art competition – Run an arty competition for pupils to create artwork based around Team Kenya and the work that we do. You could even hold an exhibition!
Bake Sales – A fundraising favourite, host a bake sale and donate the proceeds to Team Kenya. You could even split into teams and host a ‘Bake-off’ style competition.
Concert – Showcase your school’s musical talent by hosting a concert in aid of Team Kenya.
Dance competition – Host a school dance competition and put on a show, ask guests to pay an entry fee to raise funds for Team Kenya.
Ebay – A student enterprise challenge. Encourage teams to have a spring clean and see who can raise the most money for Team Kenya from selling their unwanted clothes. A super sustainable fundraiser!
Fancy dress fun run – Always a good laugh, host a fun run and encourage participants to wear their silliest costumes.
Great North Run – Staff and students alike can join Team Kenya at the Great North Run and take part in the world’s largest and most popular half marathon.
Halloween dress down day – ask pupils to don their scariest attire and come to school for a day of trick or treating!
‘It’s a Knockout’ Challenge – Organise your own ‘It’s a Knockout’ obstacle course challenge. Raid the school sports
cupboard for materials to help make an obstacle course and get the whole school involved.
Jumble sale – Ask your friends and colleagues to donate some of their pre-loved possessions to a jumble sale. You can sell donated items to a new owner, so you can be sustainable whilst raising money for Team Kenya.
Karaoke competition – Put those singing skills to the test by hosting an evening of Karaoke.
London to Newcastle cycle – Enlist a team of budding cyclists to challenge themselves, their friends and family to a cross-country cycle event.
Mount Kenya – Gather a group of teachers and/or students to join Team Kenya in climbing Kenya’s highest mountain.
Name the bear – Ask students to guess the name of a giant teddy and charge £1 per entry.
Olympics challenge – Get as many teams of students together as possible and charge an entry fee to spectators to raise money.
Purple day – encourage your employees and students to go purple for the day in support of Team Kenya. Wear purple, do purple themed baking or even paint your face purple!
Quiz night – Put your knowledge to the test with a school-wide quiz night.
Run and Donate – Challenge students to run 5K, 10K or 15K and donate the equivalent amount.
Sponsored silence – Sponsor the class chatterbox to remain silent for the day!
Turn £10 into £100 – Give groups of students £10 and put their enterprising skills to the test by challenging them to
turn your £10 investment into £100.
University Challenge – Gather a team with the best general knowledge and compete in a University Challenge style quiz night, and sell tickets for the show.
